So the supreme court says that corporations are free to spend as much as they want to influence elections. Maybe if congress now passed a law requiring that every person be considered a corporation–personal corporatehood–we can start over. Or something.
Greg Palast points out that this allows foreign corporations to spend freely on elections too, not that they are necessarily worse than our own. He also wonders if Walmart can run for president now…but I’d vote for McDonalds over Walmart.
